Message	out it can cost about $3000 to repair, there's no way I could go that long without changing it! Just thinking about the down time alone sucks. It's not always that the timing belt just breaks but there have been other problems related to the timing belt that resulted in expensive repairs. Some had the teeth sheared off the belt, broken tensioners, and broken studs. Risky stuff!
